Wedding Jewelery to match your budget
Posted Thursday, February 02, 2006 2:56:29 PM by Kate Grant

Finding the exact shade you want may be a quite a task especially when it comes to jewelery. Who said you need to wear pearls or diamonds, or even crystals? You don't have to match the color of your dress to the color of your jewelry. Wedding jewelry

We say, go for color! You'll find that getting the wedding jewelery for you and for your bridesmaids will come cheaper, if you'll make them on your own, maybe even on your wedding shower. You can buy beads to match the bridesmaids dresses, and string them, making them in a different shape for each one.

If you're going to have jewelery in your hair, try gluing some fake diamond or pearls to a comb or hair clip. At least you'll know, that if you lose them, they cost only a fraction of the price of real wedding jewelry. Sometimes you can even find great discount on wedding jewelery, especially on line.

Remember, wedding jewelery doesn't have to be expensive to make you look like a million dollars... The only things that have to be real are your engagement ring, your wedding ring, and the love you share.

Bling: In weddings, it's not just for the ring finger on the left hand anymore. Today's brides are studding their bouquets and even their wedding cakes with rhinestones. Yes, that's right flowers are and bakery products are now wearing jewelry. Brides are snapping up specially designed bouquet jewels or floral gems. These jewels can be found online and locally jewelry made of Swarovski crystals, rhinestones and precious stones. "A lot of the time, it (the bling) is picking up the sparkles in the dress," said Nichole Campbell, owner of Petal Pusher, 1303 S. Webster Ave. The bling in the bouquet will often mimic the detail in the bodice of the (wedding) dress in beading, crystals or metallic thread, she said. One online site calls the gems "crystal sticks" basically crystals on a wire to be inserted into a bouquet....

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa (AP) -- Nobel Prize-winning author Nadine Gordimer was assaulted in her home by three men who robbed her of cash and jewelry, police said yesterday. Gordimer, 83, did not sustain serious injuries and no arrests have been made, said police spokesman Sgt. Sanku Tsunke. Tsunke said three unarmed men broke into Gordimer's home Thursday morning, and one took her to a bedroom and demanded she open the safe. She handed over cash and jewelry, but she would not part with her wedding ring from her marriage to art dealer Reinhold Cassirer, who died in 2001. "The suspects then locked both Gordimer and her domestic worker in a storeroom and fled the scene," Tsunke said in a statement. He said the domestic worker had managed to press a panic button, triggering an alert with a security company....

It will have been a year on December 3 since Jonathan and I embarked on our own unique journey as husband and wife. So how did Jonathan and I come up with the idea of having a Spanish-inspired wedding? Well, it is a pretty simple tale. Something Funny Happened on the Way to the WeddingWeddings are joyful events that fill your heart with good vibes. When couples hire me to sing for their wedding ceremony and/or host the reception, I gain not just treasured memories but also unforgettable moments. Some were simply hilarious, while others really tested my grace under pressure. Let me share some of them with you. My bull elephant was lumbering through the brush, pausing to uproot small trees or rip branches from larger trees for a snack, causing birds to scatter overhead. Suddenly we glimpsed the unmistakable orange, black and white design of a tiger, lying in a thicket beside a large sambar it had killed and partly consumed. ....

THE GOLDEN YEARS OF THE BABY BOOMERS

Summer holidays are great to keep up with ones reading and, picking only materials by perennial optimistic and good humored authors, I selected some of the recent reviews by my colleague Ken Gassman. Earlier this month, he noted good news for jewelers who target the bridal market. Gold wedding bands have been stable since 1993, when the World Gold Council began keeping statistics. Gold wedding rings are just the proverbial tip of the iceberg for jewelers. Ken then projected that the bridal market will grow by at least 30 percent over the next decade as a new population bubble the children of the Baby Boomers, called Millennials get married. Forecasts call for the number of annual weddings in the U.S. to rise to nearly 3 million annually from a run-rate of about 2.2 million for the past several years....

Gold Gains in London as Weaker Dollar, Higher Oil Spurs Buying
Posted Friday, August 18, 2006 11:00:22 PM by Blog57 Team
Aug. 18 (Bloomberg) -- Gold rose in London as a decline in the dollar against the euro and higher oil prices spurred investors to buy the metal as an alternative investment and a hedge against inflation. The dollar headed for a weekly decline against the euro on speculation a U.S. report today will show weakening consumer confidence. Crude oil rose from an eight-week low as the U.S. vowed to push for United Nations sanctions to pressure Iran to curb its nuclear program. Gold has risen 19 percent this year as the dollar slid 8.3 percent against the euro and oil prices surged to a record. ``The dollar is down and oil is up; some investors are using this as a good buying opportunity,'' James Moore, a precious metals analyst with TheBullionDesk.com, said today....
